It seems as if we are raised to continually search for new horizons as if they will offer the happiness that we want. A new location, a better job or even buying useless things that we think we want. Each action is supposed to allow us that elusive sense of happiness, and yet as we reach and achieve them, we look again to external things. The truest concept of happiness comes from our inner being. It is in the core of who we are that we will accomplish the goal.

Once you have entered that enlightenment, everything else is simply a contribution to your cause

Take Charge of Your Life

A first step in the realization that it isn’t a thing or place that makes us happy is in making a vow to take charge of your life. This means acknowledging that the outer influences that we choose and the distant hopes are not the main focus of what brings happiness to self. Instead, it is how we treat ourselves and others and the love and kindness that we encourage to blossom from within. Once you have entered that enlightenment, everything else is simply a contribution to your cause.

Discarding the Unimportant

Embracing happiness from within can be a leap of faith. It equates to recognizing the need to get rid of everything that lacks importance and knowing that you are in control of how you look and feel about your world. But once you find your center, and feel the glow of that love, all that is shallow that once was part of your life will fade away to infinity.
