People are the sum of their habits. Some habits are very good and some are very bad. Most people like to think about all the good habits that they have acquired, but rarely think about some of the bad habits that they have developed. Bad Habits creep up on you slowly. Some Bad Habits are very difficult to break and require a great deal of self-control. They can also affect your life and sometimes even your health in a very negative way. The key to your happiness is to first recognize your bad habits so that you can start to eliminate them.

1. Using your Phone, Tablet, or Computer in bed.

This bad habit can impact your sleep and your next day productivity.

2. Checking your phone during a conversation.

People get turned off by this bad habit. When you commit to a conversation, focus on that conversation. This shows respect for your company and makes the conversation more enjoyable.

3. Stay away from Toxic People.

There are plenty of people who deserve your attention, and the last thing you want to do is think about those people who do not matter and drain your good energy.

4. Saying “Yes” when you should say “No”.

When you have trouble saying No, the more likely you are to experience stress, burnout and depression.” No” is a very powerful word that you should not be afraid to use. Saying no is an act of Self Control and if used properly and effectively, will most certainly add to your happiness and reduce stress levels.

Although there are so many more bad habits that affect our lives. We probably cannot eliminate them all, but we can start by eliminating the ones above and have a better and healthier life.
