Lets face it, kids growing up today are dealing with stresses and pressures we as parents and certainly grandparents didn’t have to deal with when we were their age. The pure pressure from kids at school is overwhelming enough, now social media takes that to a whole new level. They are consumed with electronics in some way shape or form, even if their access is limited the temptations to check in with the outside world is never ending. So how do we in this fast paced world our kids live in, bring them back to a place “inner”peace and happiness, that some children may be foreign.
Yoga means Union or Yoke, it is the practice of accessing and integrating all aspects of our true nature, body, mind and spirit in the pursuit of inner harmony. It is something which brings you to reality and closer to yourself. Yoga can be practiced by anyone, adults, seniors, and kids as well.
Yoga & Children – in modern world
Yoga has enormous health benefits for everyone but for children specifically it works as a charm to enhance their flexibility, strength and concentration in life. It has a long-term impact on their mind, body and soul since in today’s world, the simple pleasures are lost to electronic devices. Yoga can be the connection a child needs.

Be Hands On
PAs with anything else you would have your child engage in, be hands on. Make sure the yoga instructor is well trained and experienced, maybe take a trial class first to know the environment is good for your child. Everything in moderation, pay attention to what they are learning because it is very important for parents to know if they are following the positions correctly. Yoga may be the key to your kids happiness. Yoga is the journey of the self, to the self through the self!
